Privacy policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026.
This site is operated from Switzerland by an individual. The plain summary: no accounts, no newsletter, no advertising network, and no personal data collected directly. What follows is the detail.
What this site collects
Nothing directly. There is no sign-up, no comment form storing personal data, no newsletter, and no first-party tracking cookie set by this site.
Server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes IP addresses and request metadata to serve pages and block abuse. This is standard hosting operation and is covered by Cloudflare’s own privacy documentation.
Aggregate analytics. This site uses privacy-preserving, cookieless analytics that record page views, referrer and approximate country. These figures are aggregate and are not used to identify individuals.
Third parties that may set cookies
Amazon. Links to Amazon on this site carry an affiliate tracking tag. When you click one, Amazon sets a cookie so it can attribute any purchase to this site. That cookie is Amazon’s, governed by Amazon’s privacy notice, and expires on Amazon’s schedule. This site never sees your Amazon account, your basket, or what you bought. It only receives an aggregate report of commissions earned.
Pinterest. If you arrived from Pinterest, Pinterest may have set cookies before you got here, governed by Pinterest’s own policy.
Neither company shares identifiable information about you with this site.
Legal basis and your rights
For visitors in the EU and UK, processing of server log data rests on legitimate interest in operating and securing the site. For visitors anywhere, you can ask what data is held about you, and ask for it to be deleted. Given that this site holds no personal records, the answer to the first question is usually “nothing beyond transient server logs”, but the request will be answered honestly.
Swiss visitors are covered by the revised Federal Act on Data Protection; EU and UK visitors by the GDPR and UK GDPR respectively.
Children
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the date at the top of this page.
